Chan: The Essence of all Buddhas!

What’s my true self? What’s the meaning of life?

These are questions that may have risen in your mind!

Chan not only is related and strictly connected to the original teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha, but it is also the most direct and profound principle of Buddhadharma. Essentially the heart of all Buddhas.

This is the special transmission of “Mind to Mind,” “Buddha to Buddha,” “Ultimately Great Enlightened Teacher to Ultimately Great Enlightened Student”—independent from words or doctrines, yet rooted in the Teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha. It is the formless perfect and sudden approach that points directly to the mind and enables people to realize their inherent potential and to straightforwardly ascend to Buddhahood. This practice also emphasizes practice in daily life, not only in the meditation hall, but in all daily activities and situations.

The Buddha just after His Complete Equal and Perfect Enlightenment said: “How wonderful, all sentient beings are endowed with the wisdom and compassion as all Buddhas, but because they are confused (have a self centered mind, a mind of attachments and discriminations) they cannot realize that!”

So it’s quite clear that all humans are inherently complete and perfect from time without beginning, and after awakening they will be able to use their inherent wisdom and compassion and realize that never had there been any real problem; they will be perfectly at ease forever, and be like a Buddha.

By applying these Chan Principles and taking advantage of the guidance of an experienced master, we all have the possibility to leave behind all our illusions and penetrate the ultimate principle. All have to be done here and now in the middle of daily activities, completely at ease without any hindrances. Once we have a genuine realization the meaning of life will be very clear! Then using the inherent great wisdom it will be natural and spontaneous to help all sentient beings!

We hope numerous people will come to learn how to apply this teaching.
