Buddha’s Birthday Celebration
On Saturday, May 10, at Universal Chan Center, we will celebrate the Buddha's Birthday. We are very grateful to Him.​There will be food, tea, and blessings.
You can bring friends.

Tai Chi and Qigong Classes
For people who are interested in taking our tai chi classes and/or qigong classes, please contact our tai chi and qigong teacher Vanessa Sequeira-Garza at 1 (814) 404-0555 to get information about the class schedule and how to join the class. Sitting in silence, all the entanglements dissolve, yet a huge bright moon constantly shines! Guided by our inherent wisdom we safely walk the path! Expanding our practice to our daily activities we are always serene and happy. How wonderful! Come join us! Our Center is donation-based. Help us continue to serve the community!

Monday evenings 7pm - 9pm: Dharma Talk + Chan (Zen) Meditation (Explanation of the important principles to practice)

Dharma Talk and Chan Meditation Classes
Every Monday and Thursday 7pm-9pm (Kensington/Berkeley). Class is available in person and online via Zoom. Buddhist service, Dharma talk, explanation of the important principles to practice, and different Chan meditation activities such as sitting meditation, exercise meditation, walking meditation, bowing meditation, and/or chanting meditation. Yoga Class
Every Wednesday 5:30pm-6:30pm. Come join us for a gentle vinyasa yoga class. This class is perfect for beginners and those looking to strengthen their basic asana practice. Please bring a yoga mat and a water bottle.

Round Table
Every other Wednesday 7pm-8:30pm. Sitting meditation, then discussion with tea and snacks.We will have a new, designated topic for each new biweekly Round Table session—participants will go around in a circle and take turns discussing on the pre-selected topic. Youth Dynamic Chan
Every Friday 7pm–8pm. Weekly Exercise Chan class for young people. Thirty minutes of vigorous, aerobic exercises to get your heart rate pumping—such as cardio, calisthenics, and isometric exercises—and thirty minutes of sitting meditation. Universal Chan Tea Club
Every other Sunday 2pm–4pm. Gongfu tea tasting of premium high-quality whole leaf teas at Universal Chan Zen Center. Includes some explanation of basic tea knowledge and very brief meditation to support a deeper appreciation of the teas. Open to everyone. RSVP here: teaclub.eventbrite.com
