一徹祖師關
不疑三世佛
黃梅半夜信
可笑是何物
圓徹萬重雲
永爲曺溪嫡
大笑臥空山
月中松子落

For Great Master Yuan Che

Once penetrated through the Patriarchs’ barrier,
Then no doubts will remain about the Buddhas of the Three Time Periods.
That Huang Mei midnight Transmission,
What a ridiculous thing that was!
Having completely penetrated through countless clouds,
He’ll be eternally an authentic Cao XI propagator.
Loudly laughing, he lies in the empty mountain,
Where at mid month pine nuts drop.
